The “Big Hair Do”
THE “Biggest Hair Salon Party in the UK” is coming to Stourbridge – thanks to award-winning stylist Tim Scott-Wright.
Tim, who has transformed an old doctor’s surgery in Wollaston into a classic contemporary salon, is hosting “The Big Hair Do” on Wednesday, September 28.
Around 100 salons around the country will be taking part in the event, which is presented by Layered.
It’s an opportunity to have a fun evening with product education, testing, and DIY styles – and to enjoy champagne and canapes at the same time. And if that’s not enough, there’s also a complimentary goody bag worth approximately £20!
Fashion advice and the chance to win designer outfits and accessories will also be on offer from Very Exclusive, while Tim will be holding competitions for fabulous hair and make-up prizes.
The evening is free of charge but catering depends on knowing numbers in advance so those planning to attend need to select one of two time slots – 5pm-7pm or 7pm-9pm – and book a place by calling the salon on 01384 441830 or by emailing salon@timscottwright.co.uk.

Tim has made a real name for himself in recent years by being named Midlands Hairdresser of the Year three times, as well as Hair magazine’s Salon Stylist of the Year.
He said: “It’s a really fun way to meet the team and get some tips about hair and fashion while enjoying some champagne and canapes. We had a great time last year, with a big turn-out so we’re looking forward to this year’s event.”
The salon has a calm, light and sophisticated interior that exudes premium quality, with walnut floors teamed with exposed brickwork, painted heritage grey. Colour-changing mood-lighting provides a splash of colour on the walls.
Tim has taken his inspiration from Harley Street Medical places, as well as art galleries, in creating a salon that has a simple but stylish design.
He also places an emphasis on having a relaxed atmosphere, with a large client-waiting area with TV, iPads, magazines, nail-bar and self-service refreshments.
